February Lunch
At the Livery Lunch held in Vintners' Hall on 4th February 2010, Liveryman Graham Franklin welcomed the Guests who included the Master's principal guest, Mr Henry Bellingham M.P.
In responding on behalf of the guests, Mr Bellingham gave an energetic rundown of the political situation and the desirability of returning his party with a substantial majority before proposing the traditional toast to the Company.
The Master, Simon Leschallas, in his reponse remarked that this luncheon compared with the Five Kings of Vintners' Hall by having Six Masters present - those of the Brewers, the Upholders, the Tin Plate Workers, the Security Professionals, the Leathersellers, and of course himself.
The Master also presented the Company's Scholarship awards to Katherine Pike for her WSET Diploma, and to Bhavya Mandanna for her MSc/Post-Graduate Diploma in Brewing and Distilling. Kerry Oliver, who won the award for for the WSET Professional Certificate in Spirits was unable to attend to receive his award.
