There are certain events in the Company calendar that evoke strong feelings, and the Carol Service is one of these. As glasses of Pommery Royal Brut Champagne were clinked between old friends and new, the feeling that we had reached the end of term was compelling. The Honorary Chaplin, Rev. Cannon David Parrot bid the congregation welcome with his trademark wit and was to treat the select Scots in attendance with a memorable attempt at pronouncing The Master’s hometown of Auchterarder.
A fine musical programme followed with the Church Choir treating us to some musical virtuosity.

Those who stayed on for supper were welcomed to a very festive looking Members’ Dining Room at the Guildhall. The Festive Dinner was a huge credit both to The Cook & The Butler for preparing it to perfection and to the Master for choosing it.
The Master shared some words about how much he is enjoying his year having attended 11 events in his first month.
