Coronavirus : April Court Meeting & Dinner and Forthcoming Events

Dear Liveryman,

Coronavirus : April Court Meeting & Dinner and Forthcoming Events

It is with great regret that I have to advise you that, in view of the escalating Coronavirus situation – and following the Prime Minister’s statement yesterday that people should avoid social gatherings and crowded places wherever possible  – we have decided to cancel the Court and Livery dinner on 23rd April.   Those of you who have already booked and paid to attend the event will be contacted separately by the Assistant Clerk to arrange refunds.

Moving forward, we will be putting out a statement on the website setting out how the Company will continue to operate during the pandemic, which will be updated as the situation evolves. All forthcoming events will be reviewed on a case by case basis and information about their status will be placed in the header and information box for the event on the website.

As regards the company’s administration, 1 The Sanctuary remains open at present. If the office is forced to close, however, then both the Clerk and the Assistant Clerk are able to log in remotely and therefore will be able to deal with day to day issues as they arise, in the usual way.

In conclusion, these are unprecedented times and we must all pull together as best we can. In that regard, I would urge you to continue to heed the Government’s most up-to-date advice, avoid social contact wherever possible and keep yourself and your loved ones safe and well.

With all good wishes
Kenny MacKay
