Distillers Trophy 2022 – RAF 603 Squadron

The Worshipful Company of Distillers Trophy – Awarded annually to the member of 603 Squadron deemed to have made the most positive contribution to the unit through their dedication and positive attitude over the past year.

The winner of the Distillers Trophy for 2022 is Sgt Hutton.

Throughout the year, Sgt Hutton has gone above and beyond the remit of his duties in many areas, consistently delivering high quality training for the RAF Regiment Phase 3 personnel and frequently providing additional training for members of the Squadron from both main trades.

Recently, this year, he took over the management of the Sqn Bar and initiated a significant redecoration. With the disruption to this year’s Annual Continuous Training in September 22, personnel that could not attend Operation LONDON BRIDGE were returned to the Squadron HQ to complete their training period and Sgt Hutton saw this an apt opportunity to refurbish the Squadron Bar. With Sgt Hutton’s direction and support from Sgt Greenwood, the team took to the task with relish and in 4-days, achieved incredible results leaving the Sqn bar an inviting place which the Sqn will benefit from for many years.

Sgt Hutton has been a loyal and inspiring member of the Squadron for many years and he is a worthy recipient of the Distillers’ Trophy.
