The Master represented the Worshipful Company of Distillers amongst 100 other livery masters and city of London Corporation representatives.
These were 100 common councillors and 25 Alderman.
The Distillers were on the top table at the Banquet where the King gave an amusing but reflective state of the nation speech. It was the first visit to the Mansion House by a reigning monarch for over 40 years.
