Remembrance Sunday 2023

The Mistress and I attended the Remembrance Sunday Service at St Paul’s as part of the commemoration of the Great World Wars and the fallen.

Plenty of veteran groups were present as well the majority of livery company masters.

The new Dean of St Paul’s gave a moving address covering all conflicts, both historic and current and the service honoured all. After this, we processed in gowns and badges to the Royal Exchange where wreaths were laid by a large range of military groups.

The Fruiterers laid a wreath on behalf of all the livery companies, in the presence of the Lord Mayor and the Sheriffs. Pikemen from the Honourable Artillery Company formed a guard of honour and led the group to Mansion House where we watched the military parade return to barracks.

It was a day for reflection and a privilege to be present representing Distillers.
