Following the opening of the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, we proudly announce the winner of the 2024 Distillers’ Charity of the Year, which Liverymen voted to benefit from this year’s appeal aligned with our mission to transform the lives of young people.
London Sports Trust was selected by a great majority of those whose voted, and our target is to raise a total of £20,000. The Childhood Trust, which works to increase the health, resilience, safety and confidence of young people in the capital, has again generously offered match pound for pound all donations up to £10,000.
The Sports Trust aims to inspire positive change for disadvantaged young Londoners through the power of sport, training & developing life skills. The charity’s City Sports Academies programme is aimed at young Londoners living in the most deprived housing estates in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster, to foster positive behaviour and improve community cohesion. The Trust supports over 2500 children every week across all their programmes.
