James Bryan MStJ BEM
Clerk
James oversees the day-to-day management of the Company and is principal adviser to the Master and Court. He works with committee chairs, represents the wider Distillers’ family within and beyond the City, and is Board Secretary to The Distillers’ Charity.
Clive Bairsto CBE
Development Director
Clive leads development work across the Distillers’ family, with a particular focus on Vocational Training and Education and City & Livery Giving. He also leads the Corporate Member Programme, the Distillers’ mentoring scheme and collaborative industry events.
Debbie Alder-Bentley
New Members Officer
Debbie manages the journey for prospective and new members, helping people move through the stages towards Livery. She keeps the membership process clear, welcoming and well organised.
Janice Scott
Office Manager
Janice coordinates Company communications, committee activity and the Master’s calendar. She is a principal point of contact for existing members and for external enquiries from other Livery Companies and City organisations.
Peter Rogers OBE
Events Manager
Peter delivers the Company’s programme of formal and informal events, working with venues, suppliers, members and guests to maintain the standards and character expected of Distillers’ occasions.

The Clerk’s Office can help with public, civic, industry, partnership, media and event enquiries. Membership administration and member-only information are handled through the Company’s dedicated member channels.
