The Distillers’ Golf Society brings members together for sociable golf, friendly competition and fixtures with teams from across the livery community.
Its programme has included Company golf days, external matches, inter-livery competitions and knockout events in England and Scotland. Some fixtures carry long-standing traditions; others give members the chance to play memorable courses and meet fellow members.
Golf is an easy setting in which members at different stages of Company life can get to know one another. A fixture may be closely contested, but the day is just as much about conversation, hospitality and the time shared before and after the round.
The Society also represents the Company in matches against other livery companies and affiliated organisations, which strengthens relationships beyond the Distillers.
Fixtures have different formats and entry requirements. Some are team matches, while others provide broader opportunities for members to play. Guest places may be available at selected events.
Check the details of each fixture or contact the organiser to find an occasion suited to your handicap and experience.
