The Distillers’ Velo Club brings members and friends together through cycling, shared endeavour and charitable purpose.
Founded informally in 2020 around the Distillers’ 500 charity ride, the Club has organised demanding long-distance challenges in the UK and Europe. Its riders have covered hundreds of miles, formed stronger relationships with people and places connected to the industry, and raised significant sums for good causes.
The Club involves three parts of Company life:
Friendships formed through training, travelling and completing a challenge together.
Fundraising that turns the miles ridden into practical support.
Routes and visits that build relationships with distilling communities in the UK and overseas.
The programme may include social rides, training opportunities and multi-day fundraising challenges. Distance, pace, terrain, support arrangements and experience requirements vary, and are set out clearly for each activity.
Major rides require preparation and commitment from cyclists and support crews alike. There may also be ways for non-riders to contribute through planning, logistics, fundraising or sponsorship.
